Ooooh, I'll get reported for this, I just know it....
We let undereducated Southerners vote! We let 18 year olds vote! We let the elderly vote!
Before anyone reports me, read on.
There is no way to stop this, it's a right. You can't take a test to prove how smart you are before you vote. And since you think you're so intelligent, you should know that the right will never let that happen. They play on the fact that the undereducated and the elderly and the young in this country can be easily swayed. They use it to their advantage. They use uber-patriotism and flag waving to get themselves elected. Not being a college grad myself, I am deeply offended at the assumption that I am a "peasant" - I am a person who cares about my country, and have voted in every election, state, national, and local since I was 18. Much of the time, my party loses. But I don't blame that on the general public, which is what you're doing. Why don't you stop being an elitist? Government for, by, and of the PEOPLE, remember? Just because you don't like the what the people do doesn't give you the right to treat them like dirt.

What does college have to do with it? I know many well educated people who don't have a clue about politics and some who don't even go out and vote and then complain about it later. Your question is extraneous and you shouldn't be prejudiced.
Of course people need to be informed, but college has nothing to with it, they can inform themselves easily without the help of an University classroom.
You must stop putting up such reckless questions.
God Bless???? F off with that!

You are clearly an idiot. I turned down my full-ride academic scholarship to Vanderbilt University simply because I had no interest in attending college. I did, however do so well in the futures market that I retired at the age of 29. Oh, also, your last statement said 'god bless'. It has been proven that those of intellectual superiority almost never believe in creationism because it is a ficticious fairytale.

Having a college degree, by no means, makes anyone a political or intellectual superior. I have known plenty of people with degrees that were still idiots. On the flip side, it has been my pleasure to know persons without degrees that had amazing minds and broad scopes of knowledge.

You are a jackass.
Bill Gates didn't graduate college and is now the richest man in the world. Should he not be allowed to vote?
If you had a college education you would know that its not us who really decides who runs this country. The ELECTORAL COLLEGE does.
Dufus!
BTW. I've heard Bush's right-hand -man Carl Rove doesn't have a college degree. And he is running this country.

There are plenty of smart people out there that, for whatever reason, didn't go to or finish college. So I don't know that banning them is the way to go. On the other hand, there are plenty of people who feel jaded by the system & DON'T vote. How about REQUIRING the well educated to vote?

I think you should have to own land, and be male, in order to vote.
Oh wait! We have this thing called the Fifteenth Amendment!
Amendment XV.
Section 1.
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.

You flipping butthole. You have no flippin' idea how stupid that is. You know what, colleges are more of a breeding ground for liberals, so that is more or less saying that only liberals should be allowed to vote.
You really need to realize some things, try watching this, this may help to understand what i am saying and why.

You poor thing... because of beliefs like this, most of the world is in a state of chaos.. remember, even fools need help in acquiring knowledge, and, without help, they'll be no better than you..

i don't think we used the term "peasants" for 100's of years... just because they didn't go to college doesn't mean they have no opinion and it doesn't make them ignorant to the issues.
