is there any way to clean it, or do i have to replace it? it's not a 360.

Get a Laser Lens Cleaner, it can be used for any kind of disc player and works really well, and only takes about 5 minutes to fully clean, you can easily get it at wallmart for about 15 bucks. This is the best Laser Lens Cleaner around, mine is a Philips.

You can buy a can of air and spray it inside the box and see if it blows out any dust. You could also just buy another one from eBay.

get a 360... your xbox is getting old... it wasnt built to lsat for ever.
the game cube was built to last 2 years... thats why it is so cheap.
