All of the suggestions I have read above are good - but often people forget water for stretching growing skin. There are a lot of good products out in the market. I would ask the dermatologist for the best results, alot of times they have free samples of things in their office that they recommend depending on the type of scaring and how deep the skin was damaged.

For new scars you can rub vitamin e on it. But nothing will take them fully away other than something like microdermabrasion. Scars are in a deeper part of the skin and nothing you can buy from stores can completely remove a scar but sometimes can reduce the size of the scar on the surface of the skin but you have to start treating a scar almost instantly.

That depends upon the type of scar. Remember burns can cause scaring too. For small scars, their is a cream on the market that purports to take the scars away. There are so many types of scars, that you may want to be a little more specific, when you ask that question.
Check with a beauty shop, they may have what you need.

One thing that definitely will help you is to keep scars out of the sun. Be sure to apply a lot of sunscreen to scarred skin. This will help it heal better.
I do not think that you can actually get rid of them short of surgery, but you can do things to minimize the appearance. When you get a wound try using neosporin. That helps. Keep a wound moisturized with neosporin and then keep it out of the sun.

Ask you pharmacist foir a product, there is a product called Mederma or something like that. When I had operation scars on my leg I used a bleach solution that is available for body hair. I applied it to the scars directly and let it do its work. It is probably safe on your face because women use it for face hair.

Mederma has been advertised on TV for scars. I don't know how well it works. In the old days, in the sixties, we used to rub cocoa butter on scars.

Rub Vitamin E lotion on them. One brand is Palmer's Cocoa Butter, it is working pretty well for my appendix scars.

Pure vitamin E oil for new scars; works phenominal. However, it does not do much for old scars because the extra vitamin is necessary while the new skin is growing/healing.

Rubbing liquid Vitamen E will help diminish scars, but I don't think there is a cream that can remove them permanently.
