Watch any animal when it gets up from a rest period, what is the first thing it does?,stretch. I feel it is innate, but how many people go against our own nature, just roll out of bed and are already thinking about the events of the day and not paying attention to our bodies. Usually it's not until we get involved in a exercises program do we understand the need for stretching. Why do the knuckles and other joints crack, because the haven't been in that position in awhile and small gas deposits have formed at the edges of the fluid sacks between the joints. Modern life styles have gotten away from the way nature has equip ed our bodies,t.v.,desk jobs lack of movement and muscles become rigid and tight, they must be stretched.

Stretching has been proven to be useless in some points. Ya, its good to get you ready for a run, but for the most part, if you are going to sprain something, you are going to sprain it.

We stretch to elongate our muscles, so that they are able to handle the rigorous exercising that you will endure. This will also help prevent injuries or cramping.
