I've noticed that in all the TV show and movie credits I've seen, the casting agent is ALWAYS a woman. It really stands out. Are there just a few, very powerful people in the casting biz and they just happen to be femmes, or is there something I'm missing?

Because everyone loves to see womens in action in all grounds and this is the time when women and men are working together. Directors think that they have spent a large money on man agents and they earn nothing so they cast top models in their Tv shows and movies.

Interesting point, I'd never considered that.
Several thoughts.
It's one of the few parts of the industry where women *can* be in charge.
Women are better at seeing the "big picture", i.e., being able to cast a group of people who would work well together, rather than finding some eye candy and a big star.

It could just be that the industry is trying to avoid accusations that the casting couch still exists.
