Americans, Brits aren't bitchy, it's called class and couth. I've spent alot of time with them and honestly have never seen them be bitchy, usually they are just happy, usually because they are drunk, but at least they are nice.

Regie D, I've never heard anyone in Britain refer to America as the 'colonies' and do you really think the average citizen would be that upset by something that happened centuries ago? Get real! Such is the standard of education at the moment, most Brits don't even know we used to have power over the states. In answer to the more general question, I say the Brits, far more class snobbery over here.

I am a brit and i would say the brits, probably b/c we have issues with every country and like to make our point even if it's uncalled for, like we like the yanks for being friendly but we hate them for being arrogant and we really hate the germans(obviously) and the french. Try going to a london based school then you'll know.

The British people in general are more likely to be b**chy than Americans, there still mad at us over the loss of the colonies. If I hear one more uppity Brit call the U.S the colony's I'm going to bloody that stiff upper lip!

Americans tend to be a bit abrasive for British tastes. So I would say the British come off as being more "bitchy"

I believe both have their bitches and gripes some valid and some not but from my knowledge I believe the Brits are more bitchy more but I think that's just their way of life.

The Americans, especially New Yorkers! The British have hundreds of years of refinement behind them. They may be better at passive-aggressive bitchiness......but alot of us don't even know we've been 'bitched' at!....they are so good at it!
