and I checked it out per the service manuel. It said I need a oxyegn sensor how hard is that to change and do I need special tools

on that old car the pipes will be rusty. u might have to heat it up. but it should be right on the manifold under the hood.

This is a very easy job. I've changed oxygen sensors in fifteen minutes with a crescent wrench before.

Well my car expert says its easy adn you dont need any special tools.
