Yes. I have done it. I hate it when people are rude in public, or feel they have to conduct their personal business in the middle of a movie. If you want to have a conversation during a movie, rent the DVD and watch it in your living room where you won't disturb others.

That can be touchy because nowadays there are so many quacks.

Be discreet and go to the lobby and contact the manager. It is his job to make sure that the theatre is quite and nobody gets out of hand.

I had that happen just last night when I went to see World Trade Center. There were two guys and a girl and they were horrible. Kept kicking my seat, talking on their cell phones, laughing loudly making me and everyone else miserable.

I finally got up as if to go to the restroom and contacted the manager. I told him I paid for 3 tickets and couldn't see it in piece. He came in just a little later after I returned to my seat. He heard them and promptly escorted them from the theatre. YEAH!!!!

They got mad at him instead of me!

Depends on what it is that they are doing loudly. Yakking on the cell phone? Yes, I would complain. If they're busy getting it on, and doing it more interestingly than what's up on the screen, I just turn around and watch.

Usually that's what I pay strangers in a movie theater to do...

I agree with ohmabc. I would move to another seat, if it would be possible, of course.
In the worst of the cases I would have told them, to do slower.

depends...most likely I would act like a little 10 year old and throw popcorn at them and when they looked back I would pretend that nothing happened.

Is complain synonymous with threats of physical violence? (I have the means and prowess to back it up.)
