Okay so last night I was talking to a friend who told me that she had sex two days after her period ended. They used protection, but she's always been one of those people who constantly fears that maybe it didn't work or something.
So she asked me if it was possible that she could get pregnant like that. Honestly, I do not know the answer to that. I don't think that's really that probable, seeing as how she wouldn't really be ovulating yet, but I just need a little advice on what to tell her?
Please help, thank you. [=

It isn't that she was always worried about it. But one day her mum was going on about how you can have this bleeding around when you would have your cycle if you are pregnant and this was shortly after her first time. So it sort of psyched her out, you know?

Also, she doesn't have an irregular or a long period. She had her period for five days and she has a 28 day cycle, so does that make it more or less probable?

Yes it is soooo possible. Especially with women who have short cycles with long periods. You can get pregnant up to 5 days before you ovulate and about a day after. So for example, a woman whose cycle is 28 days, and has her period for ten days, the last day of her period is day 10 of her cycle. Most 28-day cycle women ovulate around day 14, so it would be unsafe for her to have sex from day 10 until around day 17. So if a woman on a 28-day cycle with a 10-day period had sex 2 days after her period (day 12), then it is quite possible she was fertile at the time.

That is possible. any time you have sex you can get pregnant. The chances just aren't as high as if you had sex 2 days before your period.

There are no longer any alerts in basically 2 days. replace: in case you have been having those alerts for the previous few days, then you definately ought to've been experiencing the 1st alerts a million day after. Regardless, such alerts do no longer in many situations look so early in being pregnant, even nonetheless some human beings checklist having alerts. it could desire to be alerts, or it could desire to be twist of destiny. i realize it takes 7-10 days for the egg to implant itself into the fallopian tube, and for the HCG hormone to be released.
