The popup sounds like spyware itself, it is using scare tactics by telling you you have 4 spwares or whatever on your computer. It does this to try and get you to buy it's cr@ppy anti-spyware program.

I recommend using a reputable anti-spyware program, ones that don't need to try to trick you into buying them. Plus they are free :-)

Lavasoft Ad-aware
Spybot Ad-aware
Microsoft Anti-spyware

Edit: Someone above suggested you delete the mentioned registry key yourself, I suggest you leave it alone as it could easily be a false positive (made up).

don't even bother clicking on that at all, it is a spyware program itself and the only way I have found of getting rid of them is to wipe everything off of my computer by redownloading windows again, I am sure that there are other ways but you'd wind up having to pay money to get it done right either being paying for a good anti virus program or someone else to come and fix it, maybe one of the other people that answer your question might come up with a better suggestion than this for you

That pop up is adware. Stop clicking on it. Activate your pop up blocker and get anti-spyware program, like Ad-Aware, to clean that krap off your machine.

It's a virus on your computer. Not a bad one but those pop ups will keep coming up until you erase the file creating them.
