If you were on private properity they can do it. They can stipulate their own rules by what is and isn't allowed on their properity and you have to adhere to them.

No no no.

While the 2nd amendment originally only applied to the federal government, it was made applicable to the states by the 14th amendment.

It means that you can own a gun without breaking the law, but employers can have their own rules. You have a right to free speech, but if you go around telling everyone that the company you work for is awful and customers should do business elsewhere the you will probably be fired.

The rights guaranteed to you by the constitution do not require anyone else to afiliate or do buisness with you if they do not like the way you exercise those rights. You have a right to join the KKK if you want, but I also have a right not to hire you if you do.

The 2nd Amendment only protects against federal gun regulations, it has no effect on the states or local govt.

And the state laws that you're quoting only say what the govt will or will not punish. But they also only apply to government action, not the private actions of your employer.

So, unless you're employer is breaking some law, or violating an employment contract, they can fire you for any reason or no reason. That's the nature of "at-will" employment.

{EDIT to selket}

The 2nd Amendment was not incorporated against the states via the 14th. Check federal case law, going back from 2005 to 1885.

laws governing PRivate property, safety, public areas. If there a rule or law stating no firearms, such as a school, private property ect, then it "trumps" your right to have a firearm at that location........you can look up many Supreme court decisions upholding this idea......
