like he's developed into an NBA caliber player but didn't get scouted? does that mean he has no chance in the NBA

That person can still pursue the NBA, just has to take an alternate route. It is a lot harder, but if this person is truly an NBA caliber player they should get noticed. Over seas pro ball is a good start as well as good money, or you could go with the lowly ABA, they dont make all that much money, but it is very common to see players go from the ABA straight to NBA.

College ball is the first choice, if the player is young enough. Second to that, if the talent is really there, there are quite a few developmental options in both the US and Europe. Many Euro teams hold tiered try-outs, unlike US clubs which rely heavily on "scouting".

Take a look at Euroleague, NEBL, or one of the other EU basketball hubs.

If not scouted then won't get drafted. But highly unlikely that an NBA caliber player in America won't be found.

I dont know about basketball but i know in football and baseball they have open tryouts for every team alot of people tryout and they only take the ones that truly have talent but if you are good they will take you to training camp and further evaluate you

well chances r he could bring da team far and get dem noticed if hes not a cocky player and plays bball for da sport not da money

the coach should have contacted someone to come have a look. it is his job. i think some teams still have open tryouts
