The mid '40's' W models, produced for the military, were as cool a bike as I have ever seen. Wanna see one? Go to DeKalb, IL and pierce's cycle. Pappy Pierce has the best and largest collection of Harley Davidsons and is, I believe, the oldest Harley dealer outside of Milwaukee. If you are on I-90/94 or I-88 west of Chicago, it's a very short detour to check out this fantastic display of bikes. Also, its only a half hour from the starting point of historic route 66. Go to DeKalb, Eat a gyros at Tom and Jerry's, and go drinking at KJ's pub. Say Hi to Kim and Jimmy and Pappy (If he's still kickin') for me!!

A year ago, I would have said my 2005 FXDLI Dyna Low Rider. However in a great move on my part, I purchased another ride, a 2005 FLSTFSE Screamin' Eagle Fat Boy CVO. I think this is the best ride I have ever had in my life.

I had it dyno tuned, race tuner and throttle body installed, custom seats (made it convertible for my lady and custom solo seat as well) custom chrome and have not stopped yet.

The difference between a Dyna and Soft tail is tremendous and educating. I will go with the FLSTFSE CVO Fat Boy.

Road Kings and dressers are a little too big; Sportsters are a little too small. I really like 2004 Heritage Softails. Awesome bike - great ride and great looking. But that's why they make all different models cuz different strokes for different folks. As long as its a Harley, it really doesn't matter.

Well, I have two, but for entirely different reasons. They're1990 FLSTF Fat Boy(for the sheer chromed, awe-inspiring look) and the 1991 FXDB Sturgis(for it's sheer butch look, which no bike from the Harley lineup has ever come close to replicating).

2007 FLHPI Road King Police. Comes with a 103ci and oil cooler as stock equipment in addition to the new 6 speed tranny. I basically have a Screaming Eagle for a low $14, 295.00 MSRP given to motor officers.

Heritage springer as springs on the front of a bike was how they did it to start with and you'd be surprised how springs are better than hydraulic shocks
