My 23 year old boy friend was stationed in Iraq in the army?
He told me that one nite he and another soldier were up in a guard tower at 3 am one nite, my bf showed this soldier a pic of me , and then the other soldier showed a picture of his girl friend and then they both masturbated until ejaculation. Oh my gosh!!!! Did they have sex? NO. Did they touch each other? NO. He was looking at your picture for gawds sake. At least he was honest with you. Do you have any idea of the stress those people are under over there? The living conditions they have to deal with 24/7? it's 3 am for God sake u dont know what is it like there at 3 am for avarage pepopel not to a lonly horney guy who miss his gf and he is sooooo far a way from home, he had your picture he was picturing maybe the last sex he had with u,i tell u it's not a picnic back there i'v been in Iraq and it's a lot of stress to deal with. he is a good hearted guy he tod u about it and he havnt went to awhore there belive me there are lots of girl there who are willing to do it only for 20$

In the army, thousands of miles from home, 3 am at night, they had to get a release. Guys do mastrubate with each other without it meaning anything. Straight guys too. Don;t read too much into it. Be happy that he is open enough to tell you about it

It is not abnormal but telling the story is a product of stress and feeling dirty and afraid. War does that to people.
One of the big differences in the Iraq War from the Vietnam War is that Vietnam had woman who were willing and available to love GI's. Iraq has plenty of loving woman, but they are not available.
