There are lots of reasons that there are no answers - sometimes they're not really "questions", just hate or stupidity wrapped up in a question format.

There are so many questions that cannot be answered, anything that has to do with God (which is based on faith, which cannot really be "proven fact" - like what really happens when we die?).

Or questions about the cosmos, since we're still learning, and heck someone wants to dump Pluto as a planet because they've redefined planet?

Or questions that are non-scientific, or totally non-controversial - lots of reasons for a no answer.

I'm always surprised, though, how many "best" answers I get from votes, not from the asker - I wonder why people "vote"?

Yes I have, if nobody takes a jab at it, it automatically gets deleted.

I've posted them in the catagories where there ought to be at least someone who could answer my question. But no such luck.

Some times it depends on the time of the day to reach the right people. Then there is also the possibility that some people are too lazy and don't want to try, even if they know the answer.

of course, all the time. I'm even know as the 'question girl'- I ask way too many. I remember a question I asked a long time ago haha... How many questions are there in the world? I doubt if anyone can answer that...

I have asked questions that I never got an answer for but that doesn't mean that there isn't someone out there that could answer it

I personally haven't, but...

If you click on "No. of Answers" it will rank the current open questions from most answers to least- then click on the triangle to change it to show the questions with the fewest (0) answers.

I do this from time to time to see if I can help someone who no one has responded to.

yeah, I asked a question a few days ago that no one has answered. Look under alternative medicine and its regarding aromatherapy. I need it answered, but it figures no one can answer it.
