You are kidding? If something like the BNP was in power, you think they'd want LESS control over our lives?
You can't have it both ways, is the government doing too much or not enough? And how?
What aspects of your life at the moment are ruled by government that interfere with your everyday activities and liberty? Give us some examples.
The BNP complains that the government isn't doing enough, when it suits them. Make your mind up on what your policy is, and when you figure it out, post it on your site.
Meanwhile, why don't you answer the question? How is your liberty being eroded? Give us an example.
As for the wheelie bins, the fact is that we will run out of landfill sites within 10 years. Then what?

I blame the media more than anything. it's a form of brainwashing. Unless we're aware of this then we can't see what's happening and believe everything we see or read. It's all controlled by the government.
The Labour party were the nearest thing we had to communism is the 1950's. Today they are more right wing than the right wingers.
Tony Blair has had his day. He's a liar and George Dublya's muppet. I hope everyone knows it.
Like the communist party manifesto says, basically we need to group together and stick together. It's the only way to bring down this shambles we call a government.
P.S. The thing which worries me is who would be put in his place?

i think it ought to be made legal for us not to vote in future general elections because the electoral system in britain is not just a farce but a joke. labour have indeed messed up and polluted this country with their spin, lies and erroneous policies, which stink of high heaven. besides, its not as if politicians policies are benefiting a lot of people like myself. no wonder people here are disillusioned with politics- remember the last general election? labour had the lowest turnout compared to the tories and lib dems- and still blair and his cronies won. and that surely had put me off from voting. politicians think they can talk the talk when really they can't walk the walk. hypocrites the lot of them

New McLabour only had about 20% of the total votes eligible to be cast - what sort of a majority is this? You may not like the French - but they would not put up with the sh*t that Tony Bliar and his bent crew feed us - no sir.

This government has used the power of the media and the spin doctor to a level of expertise unseen or unheard of.
While we are all dumbed down with TV which dulls our senses, our role models are idiots and freaks witness Big Brother, news which is sadistically negative and totally false, newspapers and magazines which promote totally unrealistic ways of living, all these combine to fry our natural way of thinking for ourselves. We are slowly but surely turned into dumb cattle. We know what is wrong with our society but find ourselves helpless to change, because we have been conditioned from the cradle to the grave that
change is painful and ultimately evil!
While we are trying to sort our messed up existence the powers that be are sharing out the wealth with their buddies and cronies as we slave away and feed their greed.
On our deathbeds we wonder what it was all about and realise we have lived our lives for somebody else and our happiness and prosperity was always in our hands but we sold our souls so cheaply.
Somewhere in the backs of our shrivelled up minds is the little voice which has spoken the truth to you all your life which we never listened to, because the truth is painful and hard to take, we cant handle the truth!

Well, it's a quandery, due to the belief, that everyone is innocent.
Control, or the subjucation of everyone living within a country, will never happen.....but, if it keeps a plane from being blown up, or a bus exploding, or someone poisoning the water supply, by all means, do it.
If you think this intrudes on your rights, then you go test the water, or fly on a plane full of middle eastern cell phone users.

Because we allow them to do so. I hate to praise anything American, but if the government there does anything that the electorate does not agree with, their representatives are flooded with letters that say "Do as we want, or we will vote you out." And they mean it too! Here, we just complain and wait for the next election.

They control more and more of our lives everyday. Next thing is putting micro chips on our wheelie bins to spy on how much they weigh and what our address is so that they can send us yet another bill. Then they will put black boxes in our cars to spy on our movements and send us more bills. Soon this crap government will charge us for breathing. Get them out.

Absolutely right padnut. This government has tried (and succeeded) in a lot of cases, to rule us with an iron fist.
Just because they can't think for themselves, they think that applies to the rest of us as well.
Never before has a government implemented so many stupid laws to control there "minions".
It is a complete disgrace!!

Becaue they've been in power far to long! It's too late now though. Our own stupid fault we should have voted them out at the last election. Three terms is too long.
