Last night while playing World of Warcraft I got the message "vtdisp driver has stopped working normally" and it restarted itself. Now everytime I try to log into the game my computer just restarts itself. I've been searching through forums trying to find out what to do, the only thing that I haven't tried yet is to uninstall the vtdisp driver and reinstall it. Where do I go on my computer to uninstall the driver and when I uninstall it, how do I reinstall it again? I thought when you uninstalled something, it was deleted from your computer? Please help! I don't want to f*ck up my computer but I want to play my game again!!!

What kind of video card do you have? Sounds like the driver that powers certain elements of video processing has become corrupt. You have a couple of options:

1) Go to the site for the company that makes your video card and download a new driver.
2) Buy a new video card, and when the hardware is detected Windows will automatically install the driver.

I just did a quick search, and it looks like this problem is related to certain embedded video cards. There are a number of sites offering free downloads of the driver, but I wouldn't trust any of them. Instead, you'll probably be better off just buying a new video card and installing it. They cost about $100 at most electronics stores, and if you don't how to install it yourself it usually costs about $50 to have the store install it for you. It'll be money well spent.

From forums about this issue, the video card you have is Intel Extreme Integrated. Try to reinstall it with the updated driver from Intel's website (http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df-external/Support_Intel.aspx ), You can uninstall it by going to Device Manager and to get there you right click on "My Computer", click properties, select the hardware tab and chose Device Manager, find your video card in the "Display Adapter" and chose the correct driver from the website.

If you have a different video card then go to the manufacture of that video card's website and download the updated drivers from there, but make sure you uninstall the driver first.

I am not sure if this will fix your game, or if the driver will show up here, but go to Start>Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs, then check "show updates". If you find it there, good. If not, try System in the Control Panel, click the "Hardware" tab, then click "Device Manager". It will show you all the physical hardware, and some drivers. If it is there and there is a problem with it, it will have a little yellow triangle with an exclamation point. Double click it, and either rollback the driver, repair it, or reinstall it.
