Ask your Dr what otc medications you might be able to take for a cold. Probably nothing. You'll just have to wait it out.

Drink lots of liquids. Orange juice. Hot lemon tea. Eat chicken noodle soup.

Heat some water on the stove or in the sink. Cover your head with a towel and lean over the hot water and let the steam rise to your face, nose & head. That will help you breathe better.'

I got them because I was always pregnant in Winter. At my doc's office you see one guy one month and the 2nd the following and so on. The smart *** (who didn't deliver my kids) was the one who always said (what do you expect you are pregnant) the other guy who I love told me exactly what meds I could and could not take AND when it didn't go away and turned into sinus infection he prescribed antibiotics . He said he would rather know exactly what I was taking than have me take some OTC med he wasn't sure of. Get a new doctor or call and talk to the nurse who will probably be more helpfull. I cant remember what I took I THINK it was Tylenol cold and sinus for a while and also Robitussun.

Perhaps you can take zinc. If you do, keep taking it for a week or so after you beat the cold. Zicam is zinc based i think, but you squirt it up your nose. works good for if you're congested there. Another thing for nose and upper throat is warm saltwater nasal rinse. if your throat hurts, stand up and stretch your neck backwards for awhile. do a little backbend to get your stomach into the stretch. repeat every couple hours, it'll help a bit. you can improve your circulation with alternating hot and cold showers. sit in the hot for awhile, then go as cold as you can handle until you get pretty used to it, then go back and forth a few times like that.

I don't know a thing about pregnancy, so it's up to you to figure out if zinc is okay or if cold water is okay. oh, the theory behind the showers is that they stimulate various types of circulation.

Drink hot teas. Also you can take Tylenol if you have pains or anything like that. Rest alot more than usual and make sure to drink plenty of fluids. I am pregnant with my second so I completely understand. It is miserable, but we kinda have to just make it through. Good luck and I hope you feel better.

your dr will tell you to get lots of rest and drink lots of fluids, as for the symptoms probably the only thing you will be able to take would be tylenol or a saline nasal solution, make sure you are taking your vitamins! other than that i think that is all that you can do

There are some over-the-counter cold medicines that are safe during pregnancy and your doc should have told you what they were, call and ask and drink orange juice and rest as much as you can!

Drinking chamomile tea will increase your immune system effacacy, also try taking hot showers for the steam and warm baths with vicks vapor bath. For congestion you can irrigate your sinuses with saline nose drops. Get lots of practice with that, you will do it alot to your baby. And sleep.
