There is a third option to this issue: The Glass is twice big!
It is neither half empty nor half full; it has to be filled full leaving no emptiness!
Or use a half-size glass to make it look full all the time!

Well, if there's a margarita in the glass and I get it, it will be completely empty.
Actually, I do agree with you. I never really thought about it until now, but I do say that it's half-full when I pour it halfway. Hmm. I wonder why we do that.

as a pessimist the glass is always half empty (meaning not as many oppotunities), but as an opptomist the glass is always half full (meaning still loaded with possiblities)
