The movie is called Twilight, or it's based on the book Twilight. When they start doing auditions how would I get one?

The first thing that you need to find out is if it is a SAG movie or not. This means that you need to find out if they are only hiring Actors who are members of the Screen Actors Guild (or AFTRA - American Federation of Television and Radio Announcers) or if it is not a union movie. If it is a SAG (Union) film, you either need to become SAG eligible or get a SAG waiver - neither of these are very easy.

You should also have an agent who has worked in Hollywood and knows how to promote you. Most agents want headshots, a portfolio and they would ideally like to come out and watch you perform in a play or see your work in a short film.

It is then the agent's job to contact the casting director and push for you to get an audition.

You also need to realize that the Casting Director usually has a "look" in mind for every role that they cast. They might be seeking a tall, fiery redhead or an "average girl next door" look. In addition to that, they need to make sure that the cast compliments each other, not only in acting ability, but in looks too. This means that you would probably not cast Gina Davis as a love interest with Danny DeVito in a serious movie because the height differential might be too unrealistic to the audience and detract from the movie.

I hope that I did not burst your bubble. I encourage you to reach for your dreams and don't give up. I hope you get the role you are dreaming of.

All the best to you!

Shoot for the best part yet be satisfied with getting any part. It takes time to move up to the top.

You start your career by taking any positions you can get. Early on, you need experience more than anything. Try volunteering with your local community theater.

Tell the guy doing the audition you'll do ANYTHING to get the part, then look at him with your best bedroom eyes and say "and I mean anything"! It's not who you know, it's who you blow.

Sleeping with the producer always helps. That, and a little acting talent
