Sounds like you're on the right track. I think you should also be sure to take classes about online marketing. All the big web companies (Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Ask) all have large marketing departements and spend lots of money on brand marketing.
Look for an internship in a company you are interested in. They may not pay much at first, but it's a good way to get in the door and show them what you can do.
When you do get that first job, work hard, don't complain, expect to be "the grunt", polish your shoes (higher ups notice things like that), never dress less casually than your boss, and stay positive. Find a mentor in the company who can show you the ropes and help you learn the things the MBA degree can't teach you--like navigating office politics.
Getting your MBA is a big accomplishment. Congrats. You're on the right track......keep goin!

I got advised that you should first work in a certain company and then get a MBA to work in that company, An interviewer once told me that an MBA Means Bugger All when you are applying for a job. But hey, since you are already there, just carry on and try your chances.

Who cares what other people will pay you? With a degree from marketing - if you really know your stuff - you should be able to launch just about any kind of business and with your marketing skills make it do very well.
Working for yourself rocks. Just do it.
