Basically creative differences---Paul Simon is/was a songwriter/performer----Garfunkel basically a performer. Just take a look at Simon's body of work after
Garfunkel and vice versa and you'll get the drift.

Typical seperation, after a certain age, I believe you feel the need to express yourself in terms that are comfortable to you, or more true to yourself. Creative differances, I think is the term for this type of thing. Love what Paul has done since, but really still love the early stuff they did together. Orangatan's are skeptical of changes in their cages...........

I heard they just didn't get along. They argued over what to perform,what to release. Ive also heard the Beatles didn't get along the last few years they were together.
