Learn to be organized and have good time management.
It's good to set up a good studying schedule.
Try to review notes on a daily basis. Memory is best when you study right before you go to sleep, studies show that you will remember more, than if you study during the day and do other things. Not that it won't help, but more people retain more info right before they go to sleep.
Try to make at least one friend in every class, so if you have questions you have someone to ask besides the teacher.

Patience and attention. Try not to get distracted from the real reason you are in high school. College is so much more important, socially and education wise. Do yourself a favor and focus on grades and post high school responsibilities.

that depend on what country you are from
when we study in china in high school, we solve more than 100 different problems from 5 major courses and work 16 hours a day, pretty commonly, the best way is to categorize the problem and setup problem solution matching pair
i know in the US and west there is no such things, but you can try such a meaning of easten way of study of somewhat lower intensity

Pay attention in class, take great notes, review your notes and chapters every night, never procrastinate, (make sure that all papers and major assignments are completed at least a week in advance so that their is plenty of time to make changes), always ask questions and make sure that you fully understand the material and avoid unnecessary drama so that you are not distracted.

Honestly, take it from me going into my junior year, nothing is more important than balance, responsibility and organization. Without those, doesn't matter how bright you are.
