Hello, as marvel fans would know there is a civil war brewing in the Marvel comics. I'm just wondering who the fans and readers are supporting.
Is it Captain America's Anti-registration side, which believes that all superheroes should have a right to privacy.
Or do you support the pro-registration side, led by Iron Man, which believes that superheroes should take responsiblity, follow set rules and reveal their true identities.
I see the merits of both arguments but am supporting Captain America and the fight against registration.
For any more info feel free to contact me, I just want some views, and maybe why.
Who do you support? Which Side are you on?

Personally, I agree with Ben Grimm's opinions in Fantastic Four issue 539. The registration act should never have come into being to begin with, although it is interesting that US forces are trying to enact something that has not been officially been passed yet.
This whole Civil War mess is a potential major diaster for the Marvel Universe.

I would love to choose Captain America's side, but rules must be obey. So I choose Ironman's side. Becos, well we r all living things on this planet. All of us have to follow rules so that there won't be any trouble or misunderstanding occur. Moreover, if the superheroes can think wisely, they should set an example so that the society can do the same. That's the important thing.

It's kind of hard to be on Stark's side because throughout the arc he's been presented as the closest thing to an antagonist. I commend Marc Millar for his narritive but it just kind of seems like he's pushing his opinion on us that captian america is right on us. It seems like Stark has been using deception and force to make his point clear, while Cap seems to be in a defensive position not to mention being more straightforward and honest. And if Nick Fury is against it, considering he is usually all for taking orders from the government, then chances are there is something more sinister going on under what is known to the public. I could talk about this for hours but this is enough information for now.

Captain America's. Just think about Spiderman's predicament. Poor Mary Jane and Aunt May are always being kidnapped. It's not only the superhero's right to privacy, it's also everyone connected to the superhero's secret identity.

I support Cap's stance, i think the heroes have a right to their privacy, I also think Iron Man is being influenced by other forces, his behaviour in the run-up to the act was pretty shady, telling Peter Parker that he was trying to bring a halt to the act and telling the other Illuminati members that they should all support it. I think Spider-Man is the best example of why the heroes have the right to privacy, a central theme in the SpiderMan storylines has been the protection of his secret identity to protect those close to him ie May and MJ. The government agencies involved are acting strangely in this too, showing the scene of Parker's Unmasking to Osbourne, using some mutant to coerce Cyclops into attacking Bishop and so on.

I support Caps side because the government won't be able to keep the identities secret for long. Any one of the super villains would be able to penetrate the system the government was using and obtain the information on any one or all of the heroes. In the real world they can't protect our rights on a day to day basis, why would comics be any different?

Well I can't see Captain America winning as Big Brother is always watching and the Government already know more about you than you know yourself..
