I almost never read the other answers first. I don''t want anything to prejudice my answer, I want it to be mine alone. If it turns out to be the same as someone elses, so what?
If the question is worded in a confusing manner I may read one or two in the hope of clearing up what the asker really meant.

It depends on the questions, but I usually read other answers first to check if someone already said what I wanted to say.
