do vines really grow on trees that you can swing from like in the old tarzan shows or was that made up.?

in tarzan and george of the jungle shows they swing from trees on vines from one to the other i was wondering if that really is possible or was it made up for the shows.

Vines go grow in trees but not quite like in the movies. Nothing in real life is like it is in the movies or TV; except the Bush Administration would are modeled on The Three Stooges.

Yes vines do grow in trees big enough to swing from. We used them when we were kids to swing out and let go over the old swimming hole. Great fun!!!!!
