hon it was his spirit who came to you because you have a very opened mind & he knew it & what he said to you was that he wasn't going to let another day pass by before saying that he will always be around until he knows that everyone will be okay then he will go into the afterlife, & dreams do have a meaning.

Dreams have no 'meaning'. They are the result of your brain clearing away un-necessary thoughts so as not to clutter up your memory section of your brain.

Consider this. Research shows that the average person who sleeps for eight hours spends five of those hours dreaming, this evidenced by R.E.M. (Rapid Eye Movement) that occurs when we dream. All of those dreams are transferred to the part of your brain that has no memory and the only dreams ever remembered are those we have just before waking and, even then, only if you commit them to memory as you wake. Most dreams last between 30 seconds and a few minutes so during the five hours dream time you could have hundreds. Some, which we call nightmares, may be of such disturbing content as to wake you and they can be particularly distressing. However as your brain is capable of millions of random thoughts these can, in your unconscious and sub-conscious state, give you the impression of forming a 'story' or 'message'. In reality they 'mean' nothing and should be discounted. There is no evidence of psychic meaning in any dream and even the ones you remember drift into forgetfulness within a short time. Try, for example, to remember any dream you had, say, five years ago. No-one really can apart from the very odd one. So out of the hundreds you have and which you don't remember, why do those not have hidden meanings too?

Often dreams are the result of subliminal desires or hopes and in your case I would suggest that the love for your father and the possibility that you are trying subconciously to deny his death are the reason for the dream.

Sounds like you are handling the concept of death in your dreams. The death of your friends father has waken you to ponder about mortality, and the fact that we all die one day. The first dream, where you can "see the dead people", you try to visualize some form of afterlife (like movies and other popular culture describe us ghosts etc). In the second dream the message is what this father of your friends is saying to you: what should your attitude towards life be, considering mortality. What would you regret in your life if it ended now? How should you live your life if you don't want to have any regrets? These are strong questions you probably have thought about while awake recently, because of the death of someone you know. It's natural that this reflects in your dreams, it's your mind trying to solve these questions in the dreamworld. I hope you find your answers, there's nobody out here who could give them to you. Sweet dreams.

What do they mean? What is their interpretation? The person asks to his friends, elders and seniors in his social circle. Sometimes he gets satisfactory reply and sometimes not. Death
Dreaming about death is very common and it can be interpreted in many different ways. Death is usually a symbol of some type of closure or end. It implies an end to one thing and a beginning of another. Death dreams usually have positive symbolism. If you are the dead person in your dream, it could imply that you would like to leave all of your worries and struggles behind and begin anew. Dreaming about someone that you care about may express your fear about losing them. Dreaming that one of your parents died may express fear of loss, but it also may be an unconscious valve through which you release anger and other negative feelings. In some cultures dreaming about death and dying is a very good omen that represents longevity and prosperity.

It seems to me that if you're dreaming about him and it's bad, you should pray for him. If you dream and it's good, I would think that it meant he was OK.
