Why did (and do) the extremists Muslims hate Americans so much that they flew airplanes through WTC buildings?

Every time I ask why do Muslims hate Americans I get: Not all do just the extremists...and Don't you watch the news and we that in Iraq, blah, blah, blah. But what I'm really looking or is the big problem. Why did they hate us before that. And why specifically Americans and not other christian nations.

Well, the Muslims you've talked with are correct: not all Muslims hate Americans, just the extremists in the Middle East. And they do attack other primarily Christian nations -- the bombings in London and Madrid are a good example. America gets the brunt of their anger because we have a tendency to stick our noses into other people's affairs, often because we have some economic incentive for somebody else's war to swing in the favor of one side or another. The Afghans in particular hated us because of our involvement in their war with the USSR -- the supplied guns, weaponry and training to the Afghans for as long as they were fighting the Cold War for us, and as soon as the Russians gave up and pulled out, we left Afghanistan to fend for themselves, with a country torn to shreds by ten years of constant warfare and no infrastructure or resources to recover. It wasn't our responsibility any more to feed and house their citizens, because they were no longer fighting the war for us, so were deemed unimportant to our national goals.

With Iraq and Iran, we played sides against each other, depending on which leadership we liked at any given time. We supported Israel, despite their policy of displacing entire communities in order to create separate states for Palestinians and Jewish settlers. Our interests in Saudi Arabian oil led us to ignore the fact that some of the money supporting numerous terrorist organizations comes directly from there. If we had stepped into any of the Middle East conflicts in the past hundred years strictly as a peacekeeping force, to stop the fighting and get the sides to the negotiating table, we wouldn't have the kind of animosity towards us that we see today, but instead, we favored one side against another because it was in our interests to do so at the time. The losing side saw this and got bitter about it.

The Koran states that anybody who dies struggling with the infidels would be in the present day transported to Heaven, no questions asked. 2. Many muslim extremists believe that the U. I think the main reason is because we support Israel as a nation. Muslims and Jews have been fighting for thousands of years. Another reason is they feel we have too much wealth. Still another reason is they believe that we are immoral according to their religious beliefs.
