I hate to tell you this, but this is your skin oil erupting. You are doing the right things, it is a physical phase.

There is a bunch of info out there on the web, but if you or your parents could afford it, I would recommend a visit to a dermatologist. There are oral RXs that help balance hormones that might temper your outbreaks.

For short term, look at blemish medications like Oxy-10 tinted, that dot on individual pimples and dry them before they turn into cysts or abscesses.

Good luck.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

I think you should try a different cleanser, maybe you should try Proactive. Some cleansers make acne worse, so experiment with different kinds maybe ones with salicyic or gycolic acid. Also eat more healthy foods such as fruits and vegatables and drink lots of water. Sometimes acne starts with a bad diet. Also take vitamins. If you're still having trouble see a dermatologist to see what they can suggest. Good Luck!

Hi
Im sorry to hear about that, if your skin is itchy and burning then applying or holding cold sliced cucumber on it helps then pat dry, a course of anti-biotics is needed from the doc too, but they can take a few months to kick in and notice a difference, also drinking more pure water helps the skin, I hope this helps best of luck xxx

A lot of teenagers your age have a mild acne and pimples, its normal. I would see a Dermatologist and asked him for your options. I knew a guy who had it very badly and it bothered him, so he had a face peel done at the Doctors office and it was covered by the insurence.
