If you're using mp3's, read the stuff below., If you're using audio CD's you'll need CD ripping software to convert the cda(audio CD) format in to mp3.
If you don't have ripping software, try using the ripping feature in Realplayer. It's free, but it does a great job.

In your CD burning software select the format "data cd"or
"data disc".
Don't put it on "audio cd"
It should be able to fit without further compression.
If it's burned in data cd(or data disc, depending on the software)
it remains in the mp3 format.
In my experience one cd can hold up to around 150 to 200 mp3's depending on the length and the bitrate of the songs.

Are they really MP3 songs or were MP3s converted to audio CD format? A single CD will hold about 12-13 Audio CD format songs or hundreds of Data CD format songs. Which do you have? If you have 8 albums of actual MP3s there is no way to fit it onto one.

Just buy them off of ebay...a few quid for loads of Tunes... The Guy I get mine from gives you 3 disks for a tenner...with like 30 odd CD albums on each disc..
