That is one of the most low-down things I have ever heard! If you want the kid to be responsible and work for money you probably shouldn't steal it from him unless it is used to pay for things like rent or such. If it is needed for family expenses you should still talk to the kid first. If you were my mom or dad and stealing the money i worked hard for i would not work anymore. Put yourself in your kid's shoes how would you feel?

No not really, but I guess if you really need it right now then borrow it, but you should return it. It's sad for the kid to work all summer and not spend it on anything he wants.
