I'm in the process of designing a website geared towards helping newbies to the net concerning online safety. I'd like some feedback concerning the functionality/layout and design of what I have so far. Some of the content is already functional, some is not as yet. The forums are functional and if you're interested in participating or moderating, feel free to contact me once I get the contact submission set up.
Thanks

Too safe!! The 'Yahoo!Answers' link didn't want to 'engage'...the absence of pictures & graphics is somewhat boring...I guess I'm just too sophisticated to appreciate so much ado repeated in yet another site. If I didn't already have a blogsite* with a full blend of my own constructions, I'd probably be less critical. It seems cruel to respond to your feedback request only to render an awful taste! Take some more time to think it out. Get more ideas. Thanks for the effort.

Totally skipping over the layout issues, and so on...

The first question you should always ask yourself is:

"Why am I doing this?"

What are you bringing to the table that hasn't *already* been said before, by people who know more? And how are "newbies" supposed to find "etexdesigns.com" and why should they trust it's recommendations? (Hint - getting them to read and follow it will *probably* involve breaking some of the things your site *should* be recommending.... For instance, why should they visit your site and listen to you rather than, say...
