12 1/2 year old girl with a crush on a 16 1/2 year old movie star anyone else deal with this? She has never liked boys that much at all before and now she is very interested in Cody Linley. I have no expirience in allmost teenaged girls.

know is the time for your little girl when purberty will have started u will notice alot of changes over the next few years boys and crushes are just the start its good for her to have crushes it helps them to understand feelings and emotions also its better that she has crushes on famous people rather than boys she knows which also tends to happen an sometimes get their hearts broken but there be mood swings tears and lots of girly gossip just make sure she knows the facts of life to prevent any unwanted dilemas

This will pass. Every girl (or almost every girl) will go through a star crush phase. The twelve year old will have a crush and get all the posters and have pictures of this guy everywhere. She is 'in love' with him, but knows that she cant have him. She will probably even doodle her name as 'first name' Linley somewhere. Just keep in mind that this will pass and she will not go and try to kidnap Cody in order to marry him any time soon.

Well you don't have to be experienced in raising any age to know that it is only human nature to like the opposite sex. There is nothing wrong with that...let her like whomever she wants....however, do not look the other way either, she is only twelve..continue to emphasize the importance of a good education...liking boys will always be on her mind. It's a part of living.

does she actually know the guy? if she just watches tv/movies and sees him and says she loves him then it is just a normal celebrity crush,
