I don't even know how I got them. I never leave food out and my house is clean. Somehow I have millions of them... In my kitchen and bathroom!

That happened to me twice this summer! It's like a little fruit-fly bomb goes off!

We had good luck by just getting out the vacuum, sucking them up, and taking all of the garbage bags out of the house...

I can only assume that they came from a piece of fruit scrap that was thrown into the kitchen trash.

Good luck!

I recommend Hot Shot brand professional bug spray. It's in a clear spray bottle. I bought some and sprayed around because I was seeing centipedes and waterbugs. Since I sprayed, I haven't even seen fruit flies. If you try this, you probably won't see them again for a while, plus anything else that would get into your house.

Check the fruit and produce at the market. I once bought a bag of onions and I brought the flies home with me.

its not about leaving food out its just the smell of garbage. i had the same problem but if u put the garbage out on a regular they go away also you can tie the bag up after u put the garbage in to prevent them from eating this way they will just die off..

you put a cup of alcohol or soap and water under a flash light where the fruit flies are, and they get attracted to light and and die when they fall into the water, or leave hunny out and they stick to it.
