I didn't get the eggwhite fluid. Can you ovulate without seeing that?

Yes, it is possible to ovulate without seeing stretchy eggwhite-like mucus.

If you want to find out when you are ovulating, I recommend using a basal body temperature thermometer, and tracking your temperature every morning when you wake up. Your temperature will jump up higher after you ovulate.

The book "Taking Charge of your Fertility" does an excellent job of explaining how your female organs work, and what "clues" to watch for to determine your most fertile time.

I have a clear discharge every month when I ovulate. If the discharge is white or smells it could be an infection instead, like a yeast infection and you should see a doctor. I use to have a pain every other month when I ovulated. My OB-Gyn said it was from a high level of hormones that month. After I had my second child it went a way. If the pain was very strong though - I would have a doctor check it out.

Not every women gets the mucus. You could have still ovulated. I have heard that it is really helpful in getting pregnant. Try taking robostusin (no letters after it like MD) days 10 -18 it will thin your cervical mucas.

Best of luck.

Take an ovulation test to see if you are indeed ovulating.
