KOFI Annan is very useful.

You on the otherhand are uselss considering you can't even spell and are such an American that you would disrespect one of the highest positions in the world. Who are you?.... What have done with your life??? = garbage

Only uneducated morons that are easily swayed by false propaganda would think that the UN is useless. Bush's propaganda he used to smear the UN after the UN would not back his war in Iraq, is going to be his and the republican's undoing.

Pretty amazing how Bush has been running to the UN for help recently... ie, N.Korea, Iran, Israel... If that does not tell you that the UN is useful then you are an absolute idiot.

I think that Annan has the right ideas, but he is being hampered by the UN member countries in implementing his work. Many people blame the 'UN' for being ineffectual and/or useless, but the UN is only as strong as the will or commitment of it's member countries. While countries are allowed to flaunt 'unanimous' resolutions by the UN, it will remain a toothless old lion. The main culprits here are Israel, North Korea, and Iran. (The 'axis of evil'?)

There was a time when the United Nations was an organization to be proud of. Under Kofi Annan's poor leadership, I think the United Nations is worse than useless. It is a detriment to our country and to the world.

He hasn't done anything in the ample time he has been given, but the UN is fundamentally flawed by giving veto power to polarized nations such as the U.S. and China.
