I know this one! This might be the first time i answer a question without talking out of my butt! There are a number of factors to consider in order for it to be safe sex. The only thing currently available that can prevent STDs is a latex condom (not lamb skin or whatever else is out there). It is effective only if used properly and each and every single time. Take care of the condoms you can't just carry them in your purse or wallet as they might get damaged. Not even condoms are 100% safe! They can tear which can lead to an unwanted baby or a nasty disease. Also there are sneaky diseases out there like HPV that a condom might not be effective against (i.e. if a male has the sometimes not even visible disease on the area that the condom doesn't cover and he has intercourse with a girl and that part rubs the girl might still develop the rash or even worse cervical cancer later on in life). Besides STDs you should also consider the fact that you can also have a baby. The safest way to prevent an unwanted child is to get on birth control and take it as directed and use a condom. Just because someone is on birth control doesn't mean they can't get pregnant or they can't catch a STD. There are lots of contraceptive methods and those should be discussed with physician. Lastly, the only thing that is 100% effective is abstinence.
