Easy - they don't want anybody else to understand what they are on about. I luv scousers - like their attitude

cos they just do though don't they though. I'm a scouser and when I've spoken to Americans and stuff I'm often mistaken for Irish. There has always been a large Irish community in Liverpool and I suggest that this could be your answer. I also notice the similarities of our accents with certain Manchester dialects. Basically northern mixed with irish.

Doh!!! It's their regional accent! It's the same as people from Manchester talk the way they do! Anyway, i happen to think the scouse accent is brill....People from Liverpool have a brilliant sense of humour!
