I deal with this every August after my annual vacation where we eat out almost every day and I put on five pounds in one week. I panic on the last day of vacation and immediately enter Vacation Recovery Emergency Diet:
(1) No Starbucks
(2) No alchohol
(3) No ice cream
(4) Non-sugary, healthy breakfast: like oatmeal and fruit, no bread products
(5) Slim-Fast can for lunch plus half a normal sandwich (no cheese, no maynonaise)
(6) apple and Slim-Fast 120 calorie snack in afternoon
(7) 500 - 600 calorie dinner (I use veggie burger or salmon can with high fiber bun, nuts, carrots, and maybe half a can of soup (around 100 calories))
(8) lots of water and green tea (no sugar) all day long.
Take walks or some other activities to burn calories once or twice a day. It's all about burning more calories than you eat. It's that simple.
I do this for 1 to 2 weeks after vacation and I'm in better shape than before I left, and then I resume reasonable amounts of (1) - (3) again, and I appreciate them more than ever!

I would try the first phase of the South Beach Diet. It worked for me and I lost 8 lbs in the first two weeks. Its difficult, but worth the effort.

that is about 2 months away so try these ideas, remember every little bit helps.
try bike riding and walking . even rollerblading.
no more fast food . no more soda. no more salty snacks. simlpe enough .
DO NOT USE DIET PILLS. THEY WILL CAUSE MORE HARM THAN GOOD.
