im want to listen to a band that is not to soft (Nickelback) but not to hard (Kllswitch Engage) help

Alright, there are tons of bands out there and all of them have varying levels of intensity. Some of the best in-between bands that come to mind for me right now are OK Go, Artic Monkeys (check these guys out for sure - their new album is amazing!), 311, The Strokes (their new album also kicks), Franz Ferdinand, Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World, Red Hot Chili Peppers (my fav! Plus Stadium Arcadium = genius), New Pornographers (great stuff here too!), Pearl Jam (again, can I say, new album, great), and there are so many others. If you want more ideas just talk to me. If you're really into Indie stuff I know of some more bands you might like. Your musical taste sounds similar to mine - I like the soft stuff too, but I definitely enjoy rock without all the screaming crap...if you know what I mean.

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds - bluesy Australian goth rock.
Excellent band that have been recording since the 80s. They have a large catalog so there's bound to be something you like.

Motörhead might be a little much for you, Rise Against might fit in their pretty well. Maybe Papa Roach but that'll depend. If you want to go for something older you might like Dire Straits but the rest of them I either don't like or forget.
