No, I wouldn't say that Tom fired his agent, he just matured. He will probably leave the comedic roles to the up and rising stars. Tom has paid his dues. I know you may remember "The Money Pit" and "Splash". Well, it would be weird for Tom to do such roles in the present day because he has evolved and matured into more adult roles..."Philadelphia", "Forest Gump", "The Davinci Code"!

Tom Hanks is great at what he does. My favorite had to be Band of Brothers. It is an amazing piece of work, and the fact that it is a true story and have some of the real people on it, makes it even more great.

i totally agree, unfortunately i cant watch some of his movies like "saving private ryan" becuase my dad looks just like tom hanks...i mean its freaky how much he looks like him so trying to watch it is like seeing my dad go through a horrible ordeal.
