We individually vote to choose who will make the decisions for the betterment of all of us. These people are given this authority by a majority of us agreeing that this is the wisest course.

As an American, I would first ask the alien if his planet had oil reserves. If it did, I would tell him to leave as fast as possible. If the US government found out, he'd be labeled a terrorist, accused of having weapons of mass distruction, and Bush and his boys would find a way to invade and "save his planet from him."
Think Saddam and Iraq...the real terrorists are in caves in Afganistan and Pakistan, but our military was hijacked by our leaders to protect Iraqi oil...oh I mean, the Iraqi people from Saddam. Personally, I would rather Osami in a cell or dead and Saddam still in power.
I respect the men and women who are serving in our armed forces. I just don't agree with the decisions that are made about how to use them in our self proclaimed War on Terror.
I guess I would have to spend a little time with our little alien friend if he were to be able to understand all the background of this text.
BTW...Don't blame me...I did not vote for BUSH!!!

First, if there is intellegent life out there, they are intelligent enough to stay far away from this crazy place. I sometimes wonder if we are not the cockroaches of the universe, we spread like wildfire and destroy everything we come in contact with. Look how we have infested this planet. Although I choose to believe this is not the case, wouldn't it be Ironic if the expalnation of our existance is no more than the fact that we were thrown out with some Alien trash that they left here.

I'd tell that alien to go back to space! It's just so complex, especially since the country I live in is so divided!

I would say: "GREETINGS ALIENS FROM (wherever)... YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME WITH US BECAUSE THERE IS NO INTELLIGENT LIFE ON THIS PLANET".
Then, I would direct them to their computer terminals on which they could look through the entries on Yahoo Answers... and if that didn't convince them I'm right, then I don't know what would.
