Let the school body know that is it not about being popular. Most of the kids that will be voting are not popular. You should let your fellow students know that you are just like them. You want to make a difference for them, "the normal people", or "the ordinary" people
Good luck

When making a speech, don't dwell on generalities but on specifics. Specifics gets you to the gut level of your schoolmates. Instead of saying "I will make this school year a wonderful year for each of you by being a dependable president" say "I'll see to it that each of you has a date every saturday night." (sample only) To know how specific can you get, make a survey of what the student body wants done.
When making a speech don't compress all the clean and unclean animals into the arc. Just make 3 points and take your sit. Introduce the 3 points you'd like to do this school year, enlarge it a bit in the body of your speech and repeat the 3 points as summary of your speech. That way your schoolmates will know what you are up to.
As there are many stupids compared to the well endowed, to win the election, make your speech appeal to the masses. The masses wants to laugh and giggle, give it to them.

1. Who you are; introduce yourself
2. What you are planning on doing to help the school.
3. Why you believe that you should have the title.
4. Be friendly and use humor. Students like it when others make listening to a speech entertaining and enjoyable.
5. Show some of your personality traits, (that always makes a good speech)
P.S. I'm really excited for you and hope you have sucess with your speech! Good luck.

I like the "vote for Pedro." If you want it bad enough, spend the money to make some really cool posters and put them up first thing in the morning! Do it quick! You could also make some cards tonight to hand out to as many people as possible. Make sure to highlight your name and what you are running for. A picture on the posters would be great. Get your name out there. Tell all of your friends to tell their friends and class to vote for you. In your speech, discuss all of the positive changes that you will make for the school. Mention the clubs and teachers. Tell what you like about the clubs. For example, say, "Our ecology club has done a great job this year cleaning up the lawn of the school. As your president, I will fully support them." Mention individual teachers and how they have affected you. Mention the ones who have encouraged you and given you leadership abilities. Make the student body laugh by telling them that you feel like Pedro on the movie Napolean Dynamite because you are running against people who you feel are more popular than you. Say, "Have any of you seen the movie Napoleon Dynamite?" and then pause and look around at the students. Say, "Well I feel like Pedro because I'm running against people who I feel are more popular than me." Watch the movie and quote it. At the end of Pedro's speech, he says, "If you vote for me, all of your wildest dreams will come true." Say this at the end of your speech. Watch the move and say a quote from him. Tell them you wish you could dance like Napoleon Dynamite. Make them laugh any way that you can think of. People love laughter. I hope this helps you and I certainly hope you are voted class president. If you are not, then at least you have gained some popularity by running. And if you are not, feel relieved that you don't have all of that responsibility and you are free to pursue other paths. Good luck to you! I hope you win!

think about what you wanna do if you are made president..let the students know that you really care about them and want to make this a great year for them...you should use the line.."i can't promise you that all your ideas will be made possible but i can promise you that i will work my hardest to achieve our goals for this year."...gets them every time...lol....i used that one in my speech...
and for the love of God don't be nervous...the girl who was running against me was nervous and you could tell..i was not at all and it helps to just have points written down instead of a speech because if you read off it it gets boring..i had my points down and it just came naturally..and i won!...
oh another thing..say "don't make this a popularity contest because if that is what this is all about then why do we have student council...vote for the person who know will actually do the job...not just because there popular because in the real world that doesn't mean anything"..or something to that effect..hope i helped..Good Luck!

First start out introducing yourself with your name, grade you are in, and your GPA. Then talk about your good qualities you have (if your organized, care about the school, etc) and then back it up with how you are that way. Then talk about all of the school activities you are involved in and then say all of the out of school activities you do. To sum it up, say why you would be the best school president and what you would positively change about the school (be specific).
Make sure everything is written and said with correct grammar and use some bigger words (but make sure you know them so that you can say them correctly)! Also when you promise things, make sure you follow through to them! Then give out stickers, buttons, candy, flyers, etc.
Good luck!

What you should do is just basicly tell the student body how much fun the school year is going to be with you as presdent. Also try and just add a lot of creativity and color into ur campain. Try really unique stickers (it gets the stubent body interest). like VOTE FOR __________ hes likes cheese, or hes one quarter irish, or because hes swell ect. and make like a hundered different ones and it gets the students really interested because they want to see what the newest stickers are.

Introduce yourself properly of course and then make the students aware of the present issues of the students... Make them understand that these problems should be solved. Then tell them your concrete solutions to the problem. DO NOT brag your credentials like your GPA or your a president of this club or whatever. Students do not like arrogant people! DO NOT do trashtalk that would insult your opponents. That would make you a loser! Unless you have facts to prove their incompetence. Tell the students that they should practice their right of suffrage by voting credible people. In the end part, State your name again or your party, do not forget to mention your co-party candidates if you have one and do a closing shoutout! like "Make Pedro your voice! Make Pedro your choice!" or "Join the alliance, Join Pedro!"... make it sound catchy!

Tell the student body that they should vote for all the right reasons. Tell them that you can promise them that you will represent everyone equally. Also say that this is no joke to you and it really matters too yourself. Add that you are running, not to put your ideas and views into office, but the students suggestions and concerns. Remember, you are running for the students, not yourself.
