I have always loved the beatles. Have you ever seen pictures of them arriving for a concert with all the girls screaming? Well I was one of those girls. I saw them in Detroit Michigan in 67 or 68 and they were one of the first groups to make girls swoon and they sure did that. My favorite song, well I am torn between two of them is Hey jude or Maybe im amazed. Hope you like them also. They are grrrrr8

I've loved the Beatles since I first heard them in 1962 when I was 15 years old. For me they've never been bettered and never will be. I learned to play guitar because of them and still play in a 1950's / 60's group live every weekend. I met them once and saw them play twice. Brilliant and such nice guys too. George especially. John couldn't come to terms with the fame and adulation and genuinely couldn't understand it. He said "We're just four ordinary guys who play good music." I've got every Beatles record which I bought at the time. It's difficult to pick a favourite song because there are so many but if you listen to 'In My Life' and check the lyrics that's got to be one. I had it played at my wife's father's funeral last December. I also like 'Across the Universe', 'I'll Get You', 'You're gonna Lose That Girl' and so many more.

In My Life

There are places I'll remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life iIve loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Though I know i'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more

Always and Forever! The Beatles will never leave my heart or soul. It is very difficult, if not absolutely impossible to choose one song as a favourite, as there as so many different types of melodies, moods and arrangements. Therefore, I will list my top three favourites (and of course there are many more up there, too!)

In My Life
Yesterday
Penny Lane

What is/are yours 'La Chivas'?

('quatt 47' - didn't see yours until I posted mine...lovely idea re our #1 pick, and how lucky you are to have MET and seen the Fab Four!!...I was 11 when they broke up...)

The Beatles are the #1 all time most amazing band. Music wouldn't be what it is today without them. You can listen to their music from over 30 years ago and it doesn't even sound like classic rock, it still sounds new.
They have way too many songs to choose from for me personally to have a favorite. But "Here comes the sun" always makes my heart melt.

The Beatles are the best. Their timeless music and positive messages will be the example of twentieth century popular music used in 25th century musical history classes.

Personal favorite - TODAY, it's "With a Little Help From My Friends".......yesterday, it was "A Day in the Life"

I had a good friend from Mexico who had some knowledge of the Beatles, but it was very limited. He like "Michelle", and was surprised when I told him part of it was in French (his English was minimal)

Not really, I liked them Performing as Individuals, but not really as a Group. Even though I live 9 miles from were they were born. They did brilliant and I admire them for that and they certainly put the North West of England on the Map.

I adore the Beatles. I have all their albums and many books. Their music is timeless (apart from the very early stuff) and copied constantly. They were truly talented songwriters, musicians and artists. Abbey Road is my favourite album.
