I've looked it up on the i-net a little this is what I found for Breast Milk:
Good for:
4 hrs at 80F
10hrs at 70F
24hrs at 60F
Refrigerator at 39F
5 days
Freezer Compartment
2 weeks
Self Defrosting Freezer (away from door)
3 months
Deep Freeze Freezer at constant 0F
6 months
Some nutrients are lost freezing it but the milk is still great for the baby, still hundreds more nutrients than formula.

Do you mean pumped breastmilk?
Nursing at the breast is the BEST option. The baby gets the best immunities this way and the best oral development.
Pumped milk is an EXCELLENT alternative.
Your wife can breastfeed when she is with the baby, pump at work and have the baby take the expressed milk while they are apart.
Pumped milk can lose some of the good properties when it is frozen and then reheated, but it is still healthier than formula. AND.......if the baby will take the milk she pumps in less than 7 days then there is no reason to freeze it, it can just go in the fridge.
Go to the link below and print out the chart of storage guidelines and put it on your fridge door.
Your baby may swallow air when drinking from a bottle, so will be more likely to need to be burped than when he is feeding at the breast. That's not a problem though.

You can store breastmilk for up to six months in the freezer. They have little bags at walmart and those are the best thing to store them in. Formula you cannot store but if you are asking about breast milk then the answer is yes. Just remember to write the date on it and use it within six months or it will go bad. There is no difference between stored breastmilk or direct breast milk.

I was raised on stored milk, and I turned out ok!
Really, lots of infants are fed stored breastmilk, and do just fine. It's lovely to see that you are so concerned. Sounds like you are a bit anxious about your wife going back to work...it will be an adjustment for you all, but you'll get through! Best of luck to you all.

Stored breastmilk is great. Be sure to store in plastic and follow guidelines for storage.
You may try to feed the baby with a bottle wrapped in a shirt worn by mom, and be sure he/she is sitting up to drink from the bottle (so he/she doesn't drink it up too fast).
Storage guidelines and pumping tips for mom can be found on www.lalecheleague.org
Or pick up a copy of 'The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding'.

Stored milk is the same as direct breasfed milk. But it could easily get contaminated if you did not keep it properly or overlook hygiene.
