installed usb device. drivers ok but system does not recognise drive

Have you tried restarting your pc with the usb hdd connected? Sometimes the hardware is not recognize until your pc is rebooted, but with usb, it should automatically see it, but not always the case. Give this a try.

1.go to cmus setup then try to auto detect.
2.if your pc is windows 98 try to install your usb installer.
3.if your pc is windows XP, go to my computer right click the usb hdd then format it. Choose fat32.

Not enough info.......is the drive formatted/have stuff on?, anyway take apart and unplu and re plug all cables in case they are lose if that fails try on another pc.

Open Disk application, and notice if the drives show there. style disk application into spotlight to launch it. If it famous the drives, pick the stress and click the mount button. If this does not artwork, touch Apple help.
