I had a fir tree for years but recently it just died ,can anyone give me a reason.no P... takers

If you're in Southern England, it's the hot dry weather we had in July. Fir trees like cool and damp.

To be able to hazard a guess why it may have died you'll have to mention where you are and the variety of fir.
If you don't want to do that, then I'd call the County Extension Office in your area and talk to a Master Gardener. This might be a better idea anyway.
