I am assuming you are referring to the term "***".
It is British slang. *** is short for ******.
A ****** is a bundle of sticks or wood used for fire wood.
So, you burn a ****** or ***, right?
On Wikipedia, this definition is 2nd on the list.
I beleive it should be first as it is the oldest.
