Look, I know it's the new wave of young people doing what they want but please tell my why I find so many words misspelled and grammer slaughtered? It would make a 3th grader blush,
It seems to me that either people can't spell or chose not too, let me know, it is really bothering me.
Last point is, do they fill out applications, credit, jobs, or just general information with that spelling and grammer?

Grammar, not grammer.

There is no excuse for the abysmal grammar and spelling found in this forum... But there are reasons. Blame it on government schools, and lax parenting. I had my niece, pull her son out a class after sitting in and listening to an obviously poorly educated, black teacher, try to teach English to her class. I decided I didn't want my grand-nephew, speaking as his teacher did.

The immediate answer is private schools, and getting the parents actively involved in their children's education.

As a former engineering manager, I reviewed many employment applications. The ones that contained poor spelling and grammar were promptly filed in the trash can.

There is a bright side to the dumbing down of our offspring. Society will always need garbage collectors, burger flippers, etc. It seems we will now have an endless supply. Perhaps some can be exported to other countries, to fill menial positions there.

By the by, I believe the correct form of truncation of the number 3, is 3rd... not 3th

You misspelled "grammar" three times in your question.

I think that the young people today who use atrocious grammar and can't spell worth a dime probably end up staffing our local fast food restaurants and convenience stores. If I were reviewing resumes for a professional position, spelling mistakes (and other typos, for that matter) are red flags that would immediately disqualify an applicant, no matter how qualified that person is.

Actually, I believe it can be traced back to the parents. (Sorry for stepping on those toes folks!) The students/kids/teenagers have become reliant on spellcheck, grammarcheck, shortforms, etc. and when our schools consider "close" is good enough, it's up to the parents to "put the hammer down". Check your child's homework, no matter if they are 6 or 16. Give them spelling bees. Encourage reading all the time. Don't be afraid to step forward and ask the teachers to give you some ideas of how to help your child. My parents never let me type. I had to use pen, paper, and my brain. Resources were written and searched for via our public library. Parents, start taking control again! I don't care how much you work. I do it with two jobs, so can you. And kids/teenagers, you are only hurting yourself.

This is what is becoming of America. I think it started with the use of the Internet. Kids are always on the Internet and sending instant messages, so they make their sentences short and sweet. Either that, or they are all just lazy. English teachers aren't being as picky anymore with their students. Grammar isn't being taught like it used to, so kids really aren't learning. I had to observe a elementary classroom for my University class. I was supposed to observe a writing lesson, so I ended up asking 6 different schools, and none of them do writing lesson.

"in the event that they communicate no longer in accordance to this word, it somewhat is using fact there is not any mild in them." God nonetheless performs miracles, in spite of the shown fact that it somewhat is not any longer His Will to heal each and every physique. What might that accomplish? How might that advance their character? My mom is presently death of a 20-3 hundred and sixty 5 days conflict with a severe form of MS. Her physique is shutting down. I easily have been praying for years now that if or no longer it somewhat is in God's Will to heal her, that He might gain this. the top of her existence is now drawing close, and that i've got conventional that it is not God's Will to heal her in the present day. yet my mom's physique is so a techniques long previous, if He have been to heal her, He might might desire to furnish her a thoroughly new physique - make her into her youthful self back. yet why try this now, whilst she can be resurrected back to existence in that very comparable youthful physique whilst Christ returns quickly besides? it would be an pointless healing. I easily have basically discovered to believe God, no rely what, somewhat for the reason that i will't see the destiny, and that i lack His awareness. enable His would be carried out, no longer mine.

It is bad because teachers dont care to make sure these children have a good education. A good example is the passing of ebonics in LA I mean come on these kids will never make it in the business world talking like that.

Couldn't agree more. I'm not a native speaker but I believe that people are reading less than they used to. They're using slang and the mother language is being erased little by little.
Personally, I usually "misplace" rather misspell words when I type fast. but thanks to the "Check Spelling" feature..it's really a "Face" saver..

God Bless,

Not only did you spell grammar wrong, but you also put commas in places where periods should go. You also spelled "to" as "too", and had many run ons. This has to be a joke.

Not to excuse everything you've said because you're right, but I think some of this is attributed to text messaging and instant messaging. They abbreviate as much as possible....so it carries over into other computer areas.

My daughter says in class and at work most of them know this is not acceptable.

I wish I knew, the only thing I can come up with is our education system, as it stands now, is a complete failure.

I wonder what these kids will do when they get older and have to earn a living.
