My dad passed away when he was 53, exactly the age I am now. My mother passed away when she was 75. Most family members of their generation died in their 60's and 70's. I hope to live until I am 75, same as my mother, but there are no guarantees.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow's a mystery, but today is a gift. That's why we call it the present.
I try to live each day as if it were my last and never hold a grudge or anger against anyone.
I hope these thoughts help.

It's not morbid. It's nature. I feel as though I will live to be about fifty-five years old. Nothing in my history indicates this number, but as long as I can remember, I've known that's as old as I'd live to be.

My dad died at 86 and still alert, and my mom is going strong at 82 right now. Since I don't smoke or drink like they did, I'm hoping to make it to 90. If I have to lay in a bed and can't do anything but breathe, take me on out.

I am 50 now, because of family history and my own current health conditions, I feel I will probably live another 15 to 20 years barring some kind of accident. sc

Never know. Our friend, full of life, and lot of people depending on her died seven months ago. You never know when your time comes. Could be today or fifty years from now.
